Makeup is a great ally to achieve a more awake and luminous look, and to achieve this we can use different techniques and products. The first thing to keep in mind is that not everyone benefits in the same way and although when it comes to enlarging your eyes, white pencil is a basic, the reality is that it is not the only color that we should pay attention to.
According to beauty content creator Rose Siard, there is another secret color that illuminates the look and can open it even more naturally than classic white. At first we thought it would be the wonderful beige or butter tone that blends better into the waterline than nuclear white, but to our surprise, Siard recommends a green eyeliner.
Why white eyeliner is no longer the only “all-rounder” to enlarge the eyes
We are the first to really love green pencils to illuminate and lighten the color of the eyes. In honey, hazel or greenish brown eyes, green greatly lightens the iris and is a true spectacle, and in light eyes it enhances its color even more. For this reason, the color green for years was Queen Letizia's favorite color to highlight her look; and Mercadona is betting heavily on green pencils in different shades: olive, turquoise, forest green…
But on this occasion, the green that Siard recommends is not an intense green, but rather a pastel green that acts as if it were a green concealer. The pencil she uses is the Pradalines Prada Beauty Eye Pencil in the Mint tone and when she puts it into action, we can perfectly see that it is a green that practically seems to turn into a greenish beige tone, hence why this color looks so natural and at the same time neutralizes redness so well.
Furthermore, if we compare the eye where the influencer applies the white color with the eye where she applies the green pencil, we clearly see the difference. While the green integrates much better and looks more realistic, the white becomes more artificial and evident, and although with both the look is enlarged, it is true that the final finish has nothing to do with it.

But it doesn't stop there, Siard also uses this pencil to neutralize the redness that appears in the outer corner of the eye. Following color theory and knowing that green is ideal for neutralizing redness, she uses it as a concealer on the skin, thus camouflaging those parts with the light green tone that look more red or irritated around the eye.
With this small change the result is clean and natural, and the look gains freshness and looks more awake and equally luminous. Now, with this we do not mean that white pencil can never be used, it is more like Siard says, it is ideal for when looking for a more striking look with greater contrast with dark eye makeup. We could say that green is more perfect for natural finishes and white for more impactful results.
