According to hairstylist Víctor del Valle, responsible for incredible anti-aging changes, “90s-inspired hair returns this season with a more current version: soft layers, volume and strands that frame the face create a silhouette full of movement and personality,” says the stylist.
The key to this voluminous hair that conquered models like Claudia Schiffer or Cindy Crawford, “is in achieving volume without losing naturalness. The layers must be integrated into the hair to generate movement, but maintaining a feeling of density and body,” explains Víctor. Hairdresser Oriol Barberà highlights that this season the waves in the hair are worn with greater movement and volume. We are talking about those big waves that help the hair have greater dimension and presence.
“We are looking for a larger, lighter wave that provides volume but maintains the natural movement of the hair. The result should appear worked, but never excessively rigid,” explains Oriol.
Low ponytail that combines minimalism and elegance
Another hairstyle that stands out this fall is one of the simplest and most elegant, and is perfect for any occasion. It works for everyday life and special moments alike. We are talking about the low ponytail, which is an all-terrain hairstyle.
It is worn polished, simple and sophisticated. “It is an apparently simple hairstyle, but the finish is what makes the difference. A well-polished base and a uniform texture make a basic ponytail become a much more sophisticated look,” highlights Barberà.
Curly shag / layers to enhance the curl
When it comes to curls, there is a perfect cut to define, provide movement and natural volume. Curl expert Gloria Rovi identifies the cut shag as one of the trends of the season for curly hair. This cut combines different lengths based on layers, to distribute volume and achieve a lighter and more dynamic silhouette.
“In curly hair, layers can completely transform the shape of the cut. When done well, they allow volume to be released, give movement and ensure that each curl finds its space,” explains Gloria. A well-designed cut on curly hair is what the hair often needs so that the curls do not look stretched and are positioned in a scaled manner.
