The most summery tones give way to the trendy tones of the new season: browns in all their versions, ochres, burgundies and greens are beginning to conquer beauty salons and become the essential colors for autumn manicures.
Manicurist Mateja Novakovic has spoken about this with the publication Vogue Mexico and Latin America, and she has commented on what she is inspired by and what will be the nail trends that we will wear the most. “I am often inspired by outfits or try to use colors that complement a look, which is why I am obsessed with autumn colors, because fashion is so rich in autumn,” says the expert.
But in addition to taking the season into account, Mateja recognizes that her manicures adapt according to the event she has. “I also get inspired by events and try to think about how this manicure will go. For example: a glamorous date or dinner: red nails; a fun night out: glitter nails, etc.,” notes Novakovic.
Plum nails
Autumn brings back one of its favorite tones: plum. This season, the classic and elegant burgundy is reinvented with a more purple touch. Mateja Novakovic describes it as “a variation on the usual burgundy or wine-colored nails, this time in its purple version,” and considers it a safe bet for the season.

Clean and simple nails are still very present, and it is the pearly nails that the expert proposes. Thus, the hands gain luminosity and sophistication in a very natural and attractive way.
Nails with jewels
Another way to show off soapy nails is with a touch of rhinestones. This fall the jewelry nails conquer the scene and as the manicurist explains: “With the decline of minimalism and aesthetics clean girlwe are now incorporating more gems and jewelry than ever before.

There are greens that work better in autumn and matcha green is one of them. “This mint tone has been present on our nails at the end of summer… and it is here to stay! Sometimes it is part of a combined manicure (mix and match), along with other tones or with the gems that we mentioned above,” says the expert.
Mocha mousse nails
If last year the mocha mousse conquered our nails, this 2026 it returns ready to repeat the success. The key, according to Mateja, is to choose a slightly lighter brown with a subtle grayish undertone, perfect for achieving an elegant and easy-to-combine manicure.
French in brown version
The classic French manicure is reinvented this fall with a more sophisticated twist: the traditional white tips give way to lines in dark tones and perfectly defined. The result is a minimalist and elegant design, with chocolate-colored tips and an ultra-shiny base that provides luminosity.
Chocolate nails
Year after year, chocolate brown conquers us again. When autumn arrives, it is one of the most sought after tones, and this year the intense brown, close to chestnut, is chosen. Mateja opts for a deep brown with several layers of glitter and a little pink dot to give it a more special and cute touch.
