Few creams can boast of being as iconic and recognizable as the Nivea cream in the blue can. This cream, which is part of many dressing tables, is a classic that has never ceased to be successful. However, in recent times it is experiencing a new stage of popularity thanks to social networks, where proposals continue to arise to get the most out of it. From using it as a hair mask to applying it as a makeup primer or to blur wrinkles, the traditional Nivea has become a true all-round product.
Atresmedia makeup artist Ruth García told the publication Woman that Nivea cream is a staple for her, especially in her work. “The Nivea cream in the blue bottle, due to its deep hydration, accompanies me on every filming, in every shooting and in every advertising campaign.”
What we know about Nivea cream is that it has been designed to hydrate and protect the skin, which is why it works so well to care for the skin. “When I shoot outdoors, it becomes an excellent protective barrier against cold, wind or heat, as it helps prevent moisture loss and keeps the skin in balance against the aggressions of the weather. In advertising and photo shoots, if the hands are the protagonists (jewelry, watches, products) I also use Nivea, as it achieves a more well-groomed appearance,” explains the expert.
It is a very good cream for the body
But if the vast majority of experts agree on one thing, it is that canned Nivea cream is a very good option for treating the driest areas of the body. Applied to the elbows, knees or heels, it softens and deeply hydrates, which is why it is perfect for treating roughness and dryness.
The makeup artist points out that in her work she uses it a lot “in areas such as elbows and knees, which tend to dry out easily. On many occasions I even mix it with body makeup to provide a subtle touch of color and achieve a more uniform, natural and luminous finish on the skin,” explains Ruth.
The advice for eyebrows and short hair
Although as we told you, the uses of the Nivea are very varied and those who use it daily know very well how to get the most out of it. The makeup artist goes much further, and if this cream is in her makeup bag it is for a reason. Aside from its moisturizing function, the expert explained that she also uses it to control the baby hairthose fine hairs that grow around the forehead and temples, and which can sometimes be especially rebellious and difficult to control.
Another trick that García highlighted is to apply a small amount of Nivea on the eyebrows to “prevent unruly eyebrows or small hairs around the face,” he commented. To do this, just use a tweezer and take a small amount of product, which allows you to distribute it more precisely and comb the eyebrows until they stay in place.
