The odyssey of fine hair can often become desperate. The lack of volume, the little body it has and how quickly it sticks to the head is the despair of those who have this type of hair. Obviously, like any other hair, it has its own needs and, for this reason, an appropriate routine must be followed, which seeks to provide volume, movement and a density effect.
Many experts point out fine hair as one of the most elegant, and they don't see it so much as a problem but as something that you have to know how to take care of and understand. The strategy has to be based on choosing the right products, a good haircut for fine hair and extra care that will make a difference.
Hairdresser Rosi Fernández explains from her Instagram account that fine hair must be given the care it needs. Among her different recommendations, is the importance of using the hair products that best suit you and avoiding those that worsen the situation. “The most common mistake made on fine hair is applying products that are too heavy or too much, since they flatten the hair and reduce volume,” says the expert.
The problem with using very dense or excessive hair products is that they saturate the hair fiber and give it a lot of weight, and fine hair does not have the strength to support it. So, the result is just the opposite of what we are looking for: straight, matted and dirty-looking hair. The best thing, as the stylist says, is to go for “light hydration.”
Although beyond using light products without going overboard, you have to take into account how much a specific haircut can do. Fine hair needs a cut that gives it shape and volume, which is why long, straight hair is not the most recommended style. “Split ends take away the body and visual quality of fine hair. In addition, the haircut favors hair loss and adds density,” says Rosi.
Another hair gesture that will be very useful for girls with fine hair is a hair detox. The stylist advises that it be once a month, “it eliminates waste, and recovers lightness and movement,” adds Fernández. Well-worked hair scrubs remove all dead cells and impurities; and they detach the hair from the scalp so well that the hair then stands up better from the roots.
