Jesús Serrano, makeup artist: "To hide wrinkles and folds around the eyes, you don't have to put on more makeup. It is better to add a little repair balm and moisturizer"

I'm sure this is a “bad thing” that happens to many of you (including me): once we put on makeup, the area around our eyes becomes dry and the folds of our dark circles become marked. It doesn't matter if we use eye contours and hydrating concealers because many times, as the hours go by, it seems like a dry spell.

Well, today we have turned to the wisdom of Jesús Serrano, a professional makeup artist, who has given us the infallible combo so that our makeup always looks good in the dark circle area, without folds or wrinkles too much marks.

Their recommendation is not to overuse the makeup base in the contour area, since what you will achieve is precisely the opposite effect that we are looking for: that the folds and expression lines will be much more marked.

The solution he proposes is to first use a repairing cream for the eye area to restore the protective barrier. Specifically, he recommends Cerave's eye contour because it is quickly absorbed and also contains three essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which helps reduce the appearance of dark circles and bags for brighter, smoother-looking skin.

But the expert's recommendation goes further and tells us that right after we apply a layer of repairing balm by tapping to lock in that hydration. Specifically, he recommends the Cerave Advanced Repair Balm. It is a cream formulated with Vaseline, hyaluronic acid and three essential ceramides that serves to protect and hydrate extremely dry, irritated or cracked skin.

With this combo and those pieces of hydrating and very emollient ingredients, I have no doubt that the area under our eyes will never dry out again, no matter what concealer you use or the sealing powder you apply, it will always be there. flawless.
