When you adopt a dog, you know that you are going to have a being at your side that you are going to love and care for like a son. That comes of course. What no one tells you when it comes to having a dog is that it will be very difficult for you to decide where to leave it when you go on a trip and it cannot accompany you. Not everyone knows how to take care of them and we understand you perfectly. Therefore, we have looked for the best options so that your dog is super well cared for and pampered while you are away.
Family and (very) good friends
If you are lucky enough or privileged to have your parents live nearby, be available and adore their dog grandson, they are the best option. With them you don't have to hide and you can be a mother of courage without shame: ask them for photos, to put them on the phone when you make a video call, to tell you how they are and
In addition, you will be in a familiar house and with some familiar people, so it does not break your environment and your routines. The same applies to your partner (if you don't live together) or a good friend who is very familiar with the dog.
A dog sitter trustworthy

There are apps like Rover or Trusted Housesitters where you can find people who are dedicated to taking care of the dog when you can't. Some welcome them into their home, but others allow people to stay at your house taking care of the pet, in exchange for accommodation and with your prior approval. In this way, it keeps its environment and routines intact, ideal for fearful dogs that are not comfortable with changes of scenery.
Dog hotels

A new type of establishment has begun to emerge in large cities, designed to cover this growing need to be able to leave our furry friend in good hands with peace of mind. An example is The Place, a hotel and dog SPA in Madrid with all the comforts and professionals, for 4 euros per hour in the daycare center and for 49 euros per night in the hotel.
They have individual rooms, routines personalized to the dog's needs, constant supervision and real-time updates to the owners, so you know how your furry friend is doing at all times. They also include academy, grooming and bathrooms and activities. Come on, your dog is going to enjoy traveling more than you.
The shelters where we adopted them
Some shelters give you a hand if you have nowhere to leave them and you are in a hurry. They keep it if necessary, but it is not ideal: they need the space and staff for abandoned dogs that have no family. Therefore, this is only resorted to if you have no other choice and that trip is mandatory. And, of course, give them money in return.
