I try the new Mercadona patches with gold and peptides so you don't have to: they promise to improve the appearance of the contour for less than two euros

Don't think this is the first time I've tried Mercadona patches. I am a guinea pig in the editorial office because if Deliplus releases something, I try it. I did it with the blush stick or the chamomile serum and now neither of them leaves my makeup bag, but I am also a big fan of the Mercadona patches, and I have tested more than one.

I tried the Deliplus hyaluronic acid eye patches, which illuminated my eyes, and also the Mercadona Glow hydrogel patches, with which I saw an effect hours later. This time I decided to try the Deliplus Anti-Wrinkle Hydrogel Patches with gold and peptides, which I have already tried so that you don't have to. Hydrogel patches designed to blur expression lines and improve the appearance of the contour and cost 1.75 euros.

We tested the Deliplus anti-wrinkle hydrogel eye patches with gold and peptides

I have to say that as a strong point, these patches look (and feel) immovable. There are times when I have used hydrogel patches from other brands, and they have ended up sliding across my face like a small slug that leaves the eye area to settle on the cheekbone. It doesn't happen with these.

Although I would love to be able to take my time and lie down for 20 minutes staring at the ceiling while I wait for them to take effect, the truth is that when I use any patch, I hope to be able to get on with my life. I put them on while I'm working, making coffee, or cleaning up the house, and Deliplus' gold and peptides stay exactly where you put them.

They are gentle and especially refreshing, so if you use them first thing in the day, like me, they will help your dark circles depuff faster when you wake up. But what it promised was something else, an effect of regenerating and anti-aging action that I have not noticed. My contour was more hydrated and less swollen, but I did not perceive, beyond that, a miraculous action. I refer to the tests with a before and after image of the eye.

Ingredients and benefits of the Deliplus Anti-Wrinkle Hydrogel Patches with gold and peptides

The most interesting ingredient in its formulation is sh-Oligopeptide-1, a peptide related to epidermal growth factor (EGF). What it achieves (or what it promises) is to stimulate cell regeneration and also improve the elasticity of the skin. In addition to this peptide, they contain gold, with an antioxidant effect, and two active ingredients (glycerin and allantoin) with moisturizing properties.

As it appears on the package itself, “it helps reduce wrinkles and expression lines, providing elasticity and flexibility to the skin.” And although Mercadona sells it as an anti-aging or anti-wrinkle product, its effect is by no means miraculous. If you want cell regeneration and really reduce expression lines, use retinol instead and be patient, because if you put a few patches around your eyes once you won't notice anything. But if you're patient, retinol can do a lot for your skin.

How to use Deliplus Anti-Wrinkle Hydrogel Patches with gold and peptides

The way to use them is very simple. With your face clean and dry (you can use a facial cleanser or just water if you follow a simpler routine), peel off the patches and apply them to the contour, placing the narrowest part near the tear duct and taking the wider part to the area closest to your cheekbones. Don't stick too close to your eyes to prevent product from getting into them.

Once placed, wait 20 minutes and let it act. Then you just have to remove it carefully and if there is any product left (in my case there was nothing when I removed it), give it a little massage so that the skin finishes absorbing it.

If you ask me if I would repeat, I say no. Not even if the eye contour is a little dry, because there are other patches that I like better and whose effect I do notice in a more visible way. For example, the PDRN retinal eye patches from Abib, which provide more luminosity to the skin, or the collagen ones from the same brand that are very hydrating.

The Deliplus Anti-Wrinkle Hydrogel Patches with gold and peptides are not one of those flash products, like the Germinal Double Flash Effect Immediate Action Ampoules that have an immediate effect. In this specific case, we would need more treatment to really notice the effect of the Mercadona patches. And now I'm going to tell you, using basic economics, why I wouldn't choose these patches for long-term treatment: money.

On Amazon, Abib patches are priced at 18 euros for those with PDRN and those with collagen also cost 18 euros. Both come in a container of 60 patches, so the beads are much better priced and have a better effect on the skin. If we bought 30 double patches from Mercadona (to match what comes in the Abib packaging), we would spend 52.50 euros. If we buy the others, we spend much less than half and with better results.

For any cosmetic product to work, consistency in its use is necessary, so if we are looking for true profitability, the option of using reusable patches is much better.
