Helena Rodero, pharmacist: "To prevent hair from being damaged, so that it is soft, without static electricity, with shine and without frizz, you must always use conditioner."

The mask and the conditioner are two essential basics in our shower. We tend to use the first one once a week to give an extra shot of hydration to our hair, although with the second we doubt whether to use it after each wash or not if we have used a mask that day. Well, as pharmacist Helena Rodero explains in a video that she shared with her followers on social networks, the conditioner should be used every time we wash our hair.

“What you should always use in all washes is the conditioner adapted to your needs because it is the cosmetic that will prevent your hair from being damaged, make it soft, without static electricity, control frizz and give you shine, and you always need that,” the expert clarified.

“The mask is a cosmetic for occasional use that requires more exposure time, that is, you leave it on for at least ten minutes and that usually gives resistance to the fiber,” adds the pharmacist. The truth is that we tend to think that the functions of the mask and the conditioner are the same and this is not the case, because one is for recurring use and the other is punctual.

We have to keep in mind that there is a perfect conditioner for everyday use depending on each person's hair. If you have oily and fine hair, it is essential that you opt for less heavy formulas with less oily ingredients, avoiding butters and waxes and if you have drier ends, opt for other more nutritious options.

“I myself never usually use a mask because I don't need it, since my hair is fine, but if you have damaged or more delicate hair that frizzes more easily, you probably need to use a mask once a week and, of course, the conditioner,” confirmed the expert, insisting on the importance of the conditioner compared to other hair care products.
