Confirmed: high boots from the 70s will be the trending footwear for fall 2026

Posted on 1 October 2026

Fashion usually looks to the past to build the future, which is why we always find small nods to past eras in the collections of our favorite designers. And if there is a decade that returns recurrently – in some brands like Chloé it is always present, it is part of their DNA – it is the 70s.

Wide leg pants, airy blouses and long hair always arouse interest. Perhaps it is because of that mix between femininity and functionality that women's fashion did not achieve until that time, a bohemian aura that continues to work today.

This fall 2026 we are focusing on one shoe in particular: high-heeled boots. That type of boots that works with short dresses just as well as with flare pants or midi skirts, three other trends that coexist this season.

Five 70s style high boots

Zara

Suede boots perfectly represent that bohemian aura of the 70s. The slim toe is perfect to wear with XL flared pants or a floaty Cholé-style dress in pastel tones. We found them at Zara for 79.95 euros.

Mango

With a more minimalist aesthetic we have these block-heeled boots with rounded toes in black. A design that combines perfectly with midi skirts with a cape silhouette or peak-style dresses in a mini version. We found them at Mango for 59.99 euros.

The wrinkled effect of these brown suede boots is also very representative of the decade, more focused on style folk from California in the 70s. This particular design is perfect to wear with mini denim skirts or with tights inside and a maxi sweater. We have them in El Corte Inglés for 205 euros.

Pedro Millares

Pedro Millares signs these light brown leather boots that perfectly emulate the style of the 70s. To take advantage of them this season, inspired by the decade, I would combine it with a little black dress pinafore style and a white blouse tied at the neck. We have them in El Corte Inglés for 199 euros.
