In the heart of the Maestrazgo Park and in the lands of Teruel is the town of Molinos, located on a cliff 838 meters high. Its unique location, surrounded by forests and mountains, means that the rivers flow through the town, filling its streets with urban waterfalls until they reach the Crystal Grottoes, the true treasure of the town.

What to see in Molinos, Teruel

The old town is small, easy to walk around and full of viewpoints to the Fuentes ravine, the San Nicolás ravine and the surrounding mountains. In it you will find two beautiful arcaded squares, one is the Plaza Mayor and the other is the Town Hall, with a tower. Next to it is the church of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, a 15th century temple in a very special Levantine Gothic style.

Next door is the Campanario Tower and the hermitage of La Soledad, which is not the only one in the town. The hermitage of San Nicolás, with a baroque style from the 18th century, accompanies this walk through the medieval history of Molinos, surrounded by spectacular noble mansions such as the Town Hall. Right in the center, the San Nicolás waterfall rises from the houses themselves, falling into the void between two cliffs and crowned with an ashlar bridge that is still in use.
