On the coasts of Catalonia there is a secret forest, hidden behind a lock to preserve all its charm and silence. Away from mass tourism, the Pinar de Can Camins is one of the few Mediterranean forests that are preserved in their pure state. Do you want to discover this beautiful coastal pine forest on dunes in front of the beach? You can do it 10 times a year.
This 30 hectare forest belongs to the Natura 2000 Network and is one of the most special green routes in Spain. Inside it contains very unusual plant populations, among which orchids and fungi stand out. However, its ecosystem is so fragile that they have had to prohibit access to preserve it. We can visit it very rarely and that makes it even more special.
Can Camins can only be visited on the first Sunday of each month, except July and August. The visits are guided and free, starting at 11:00 a.m. from the Puerta del Delta tourist office. You can reserve by phone, by email or in person. However, only the first 25 visitors enter, so be careful. In this way they ensure that this forest is kept in a perfect state of conservation.

Island Viewpoint
The guides will accompany you on an hour and a half tour among enormous pine trees, explaining the flora and fauna of the forest. However, if you do not manage to join the select group of visitors, you can always observe the pine forest from above: the Island's viewpoint opens from Monday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers panoramic views of the forest and the beach next door.
