The 2026 solar eclipse is going to be unique in the century and deserves a good box of honor to observe it. Asturias is the answer, one of the communities where the strip of totality will be longer and more imposing. However, within the Asturian territory, there is a number one enclave: the Cabo de Peñas lighthouse, according to experts.
Cabo de Peñas is the northernmost point of Asturias. These cliffs elevated above sea level are an advanced position in the Cantabrian Sea, offering a clear horizon surrounded by meadows, without urban centers or buildings that interrupt the vision: only the infinite sea.

This lighthouse from 1852 is the brightest in all of Asturias, with a range of up to 41 miles towards the sea and a museum about the history of lighthouses, the marine biodiversity of the area and several models of large animals, such as whales or sperm whales.
