This fishing village is located on the coast of Cádiz, between two jewels such as Barbate and the Roman ruins of Baelo Caludia. Everything in between is heavenly, turning Zahara de los Atunes into an oasis of eternal beaches where good weather accompanies well into autumn.
There is something to choose from: Zahara de los Atunes beach for those who want comfort, Atlanterra beach for those looking for a wilder space, Búnquer beach to enjoy next to a coastal battery from the 40s and Los Alemanes cove to protect yourself from the east wind. All of them have a sunset facing the Atlantic that is impossible to beat.
Palace of the Dukes of Medina Sidonia
The historic center of the town is very intimate and small, just a handful of streets with fishermen's houses that still maintain all the charm of the past. There we find the church of Carmen, a 16th century temple with arches and a white façade. There is also the Palace of the Dukes of Medina Sidonia, the old castle that protected the town in the 15th century with doors open to the sea and imposing towers.

Eating real almadraba bluefin tuna in Zahara de los Atunes without breaking the bank is possible at La Roka, a beach restaurant that cooks it in many different ways: croquettes, tacos, cubes, toasts, poke, hamburger and even meatballs, all between 15 and 30 euros.
What to do near Zahara de los Atunes, Cádiz
At the end of Los Alemanes cove is the Camarinal Lighthouse, built in a 16th century beacon tower that once protected the population from pirates, and today guides their boats. You can go up to its viewpoint, from which you can see the African continent on the other side of the strait.
