Italian food recipe in six minutes in the microwave

Posted on 29 January 2026

I wish every day it were possible to eat hot without turning on the stove, without dirtying pans and, above all, without having to spend more than five minutes in the kitchen. For those moments of zero desire and maximum laziness, this microwave gnocchi recipe comes like a fall from heaven. In fact, we have met her thanks to @recetaspatavagoz. It is made with four of those things that one usually always has in the pantry and how long it takes for a coffee to cool down. It is a minimal kitchen, but functional. On top of that, it has such a delicious pizza flavor that you will want to repeat it.

Ingredients

For 2 people

  • Mercadona fry (one brick)
    380 g
  • fresh gnocchi
    500 g
  • Baked chicken strips
    140 g
  • Grated mozzarella cheese (a handful)
  • Ground black pepper

How to make gnocchi in the microwave

Difficulty: Easy

In a microwave-safe container, add a brick of Mercadona fried ratatouille (although a similar product from any other brand works). Next, we add a package of fresh gnocchi, a tray of baked chicken strips from Mercadona (or equivalent) and a generous handful of mozzarella cheese.

Finally, add salt and pepper to taste and stir until everything is well mixed. We put it in the microwave for 4 minutes at maximum power and we would have ready a main dish that tastes like pizza without being it and without almost lifting a finger.

It is ideal for those days when you need a hearty meal but you don't have the time (or desire) to prepare something elaborate. However, it is also very useful for those days when you have four things left in the fridge.
