A long time ago we stopped seeing canned sardines as a simple preserved food to turn to when we don't have anything in the refrigerator. This fish is a super healthy option and you can transform it into one of your favorite dinners, perfect to prepare in record time. It's not us who say it, but chef Carlos Gómez, who has shown his followers how he makes this dish with the help of only three more ingredients to enhance its flavor.
From here we encourage you to always include a couple of cans of sardines in your pantry, as it is a food very rich in protein, in addition to being notable for a large amount of Omega-3 fatty acids. In fact, as the Spanish Nutrition Foundation explains, the contribution of omega 3 fatty acids from a serving of sardines covers 100% of the nutritional objectives recommended for daily intake. In short, don't let the fact that it comes canned make you doubt, because according to scientific studies, canned fish could retain the same benefits as fresh fish.

@charlito_cooks Chickpea and sardine salad. 📋Ingredients (this is completely flexible): – 1 can of canned chickpeas – 2 cans of sardines in oil – 1/2 red pepper – Spring onion – 200g of fresh cheese – 2 piparras – 1 cucumber – Extra virgin olive oil – Vinegar – Salt – Optional: Cured egg yolk (you have the recipe in the profile) 1️⃣ Go through the Tap the chickpeas to clarify them, mix the rest of the chopped ingredients to your liking in a bowl except the sardines and the dressing. 2️⃣ Take advantage of the oil from the sardines (personally I prefer the preserves to be with dry olive oil, extra virgin olive oil can be very invasive, what I do is simply add a little EVOO to the dressing itself. You simply have to mix the oil, the splash of vinegar, the chopped piparras, the salt in a jar and mix well. 3️⃣ At the last moment you serve the sardines on top and seasonings to taste #salad #sardines #easyrecipes #healthyrecipes #healthyrecipes.

The step by step that Carlos Gómez follows
We start by rinsing the chickpeas well to remove the preserving liquid that comes in the jar, as well as any remains they may have. Once clean, we transfer them to a large bowl where we will prepare the mixture. There we will add the rest of the already chopped ingredients.
For the dressing, we will use the oil from the can of sardines itself and mix it in a bowl with a splash of extra virgin olive oil, a little vinegar, the previously chopped peppers and a pinch of salt. Then we stir everything well. Finally, we put the sardines on the bowl with the chickpeas and the rest of the ingredients. Once it is ready, before tying, we add the dressing on top.
