Cayetano Rivera and Eva González have very close roots, although they owe everything to the bullfighter's family. She was born in Seville and he was born in Madrid. However, the Ordóñez family is closely linked to Ronda, with a beautiful farm very close to the historic center. Thus, they both grew up with Andalusia as their flag: he in the city with the most famous bridge in Spain and she in a small town 140 kilometers away.
The town where the April Fair was born
Eva González was born in Mairena del Alcor, a town of almost 25,000 inhabitants near Seville, where she still has a chalet to escape to whenever she has the opportunity. The presenter even has an avenue with her name, among heritage jewels such as the Castillo de Luna with an Almohad floor plan from the 14th century and a Mudejar floor from the 14th century, the Casa Palacio de los Duques de Arcos or the beautiful Church of Santa María de la Asunción, where the couple got married in 2015, with a baroque altar and a Mudejar design from the 14th century.

The Mairena del Alcor Fair has been held in this town for 500 years, making it the oldest in Andalusia. It is the origin of the famous April Fair and began in 1441 to promote commerce in the area. In the 19th century it became more festive and playful, with booths, music and dancing.
Ronda, the family inheritance of Cayetano Rivera

Cayetano Rivera was not born in Ronda, but his family roots are deeply rooted in this town in the mountains of Malaga that defies heights. Four generations of Ordóñez have lived on the estate that their great-grandfather bought, with views of the church of Santa María la Mayor and its Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque façade, the emblematic New Bridge of Ronda or the 14th century Mondragón Palace, converted into the Municipal Museum.

It is not surprising that Ronda is Cayetano's refuge, because it is majestic. With its oldest Bullring in Spain from the 17th century, its Almocábar Gate that allowed access to the city in Arab times or the House of the Moro King, whose terraced gardens are a jewel to walk through with views of the Alameda del Tajo.
Where Eva and Cayetano met: a Madrid in common
They met at a party in Madrid, where Cayetano Rivera lives and where Eva González works. However, they got married in the bride's hometown, because she has her roots very deeply rooted in the town. It was one of the most media events in Spain, putting Mairena del Alcor on the map for all Spaniards.
