David, cook: "The most elegant deviled eggs do not contain tuna or mayonnaise, but rather 70 g of cheese and a handful of walnuts"

Stuffed eggs are always a simple and delicious option that we can turn to when we don't feel like cooking, but we want to enjoy a delicious and very complete dish. They are made in record time and, furthermore, they do not require you to be a handyman in the kitchen. The best thing is that you can shape the traditional recipe to your liking. We have taken note of this version made by David García, the chef from Pamplona who, together with his girlfriend Irene Larraz, is behind @Siempre.hambrientos.

On his Instagram account, the chef has created a series of fresh ideas where the protagonists are boiled eggs. This is how you try to combat hot days from the kitchen with super appetizing recipes. The last one he shared is this one with stuffed eggs with creamy goat sauce, a 2.0 version of the classics that we are looking forward to trying.

Ingredients for eggs stuffed with creamy goat sauce

  • Eggs, 6 pc
  • Half a goat cheese roll
  • Cottage cheese, 3 tablespoons
  • Caramelized onion, 1 or 2 tablespoons
  • Peeled walnuts, 40 g, a handful
  • Salt, to taste

The step by step to achieve a chef's result

We start by cooking the eggs. We place them in a saucepan, cover them with cold water and, once the water starts to boil, we let them cook for about 10 minutes. Then, we cool them quickly by submerging them in a container with water and ice.

Once they are cold, we remove the shell and cut each egg in half. We carefully remove the yolks and reserve them, as they will be the base of the filling. To prepare the cream, put the yolks in the blender glass along with the goat cheese, cottage cheese and caramelized onion. Add salt to taste and blend until obtaining a uniform mixture.

We distribute the filling into the egg white halves with a spoon. Finally, we chop the walnuts with a knife and place them on the eggs just before bringing them to the table; This way we make sure they stay crispy and don't get soft.
