Cuevas de Cañart is a town of about 70 inhabitants with a beautiful historic center, ideal for a getaway and a walk among medieval streets and monuments such as the baroque church of San Pedro Apóstol from the 18th century, inspired by the Basilica del Pilar in Zaragoza. Not in vain, Guitarricadelafuente already sings it: “In the Cuevas de Cañart, life is so beautiful that it seems real.” A song whose video clip is recorded in the streets of the town.

In addition to the church, this small town in the so-called emptied Spain preserves the remains of two convents: that of the Purísima Concepción, with a baroque church from the 17th century; and that of the Servites, of which only the ruins remain and has created a mystical and different image with views of the entire Maestrazgo. In addition, Cuevas de Cañart preserves other treasures, such as its hermitages, its Portal de Mazo, the only standing remains of the old wall, its oven or its passages in the Jewish quarter.
