Vanilla manicure: the trend in elegant nails for this fall 2026

Posted on 29 September 2026

The vanilla manicure is emerging as one of the most elegant nail trends for Fall-Winter 2026 and a style that fully competes with clean and natural nails. Its strong point is in balance: it has the warmth of yellow, the elegance of milky white and the discretion of a nude, but with a more sophisticated and luminous finish.

The tone also connects with the aesthetics of the glazed donuts nails which was popularized by manicurist Zola Ganzorigt (@nailsbyzola), although in a creamier and more subtle version. It is an especially versatile option for those looking for a minimalist and neat manicure that works with both everyday looks and more elegant outfits.

Neutral tones are still popular, whether pink, nude, taupe or mocha mousse. Many women opt for this type of tones that beautify without excess and add elegance to their hands. In an interview for Byrdie, manicurist Ganzorigt said that she believes these vanilla nails were born thanks to the inspiration that her own clients gave her.

Vanilla manicure can be done both with the French manicure design and in a monochrome version. “The vanilla French manicure is very similar to the traditional one, but it is more subtle and delicate than the classic white French manicure,” said the expert. As it is a creamy tone with a yellow dot, it integrates much better with the nails and a more blurred effect is achieved on the white tips, achieving less contrast between the nails and the tips.

The steps to follow to do the vanilla manicure autumn 2026

This is a very easy manicure that does not require great skill to perform. The first thing we need is a vanilla-colored polish that we will apply all over the nail in two thin layers. This way the nail will take on this ultra-creamy, slightly yellow color.

The options we have are very varied. There is the Put It in Airplane Mode Opi polish, a very neutral and elegant beige; or the Green Nude Manucurist, which is a more translucent and milky tone.

The next step is to mark the French tip, for this we need a milky whitish polish or a warm ivory tone. By using this type of color instead of the classic white, a more delicate French look is achieved with less contrast. Opi's My Vampire is Buff polish is the perfect shade.

To give it the glazed look, we can use the Neonail Glassy Pearl Nail Effect powder or the OPI Tin Man Can Glaze Chrome Effect. It is applied over the entire surface of the nails to achieve that luminous and ultra shiny finish.
