I confess that I have always liked perfumes, my first perfume as such was this one from Oilily (a real shame that it no longer exists), and over time my love for fragrances has grown even more. I not only like perfumes for going out, but even for being at home or enjoying the aroma myself. What's more, I have so many that sometimes I need to do a review and I entertain myself by trying my own fragrances. I assure you that this is a very interesting exercise, since sometimes a perfume can smell different to us than we remember it, or our tastes have changed.
Now that we are approaching autumn, the perfumes that I am craving are different. Although I continue to enjoy fresh fragrances throughout the year, at this time I prefer balanced compositions, with a little more body and warmth, which fit especially well with the autumn mood.
Mirto di Panarea La Riserva
I start with this super special Acqua di Parma perfume, which is a very intense aromatic citrus fragrance and quite different from the perfumes I usually use. It is an herbal, woody, spicy and citrus aroma, where the woody notes stand out especially with a clean and creamy touch.
This is the typical perfume that I love to wear when I'm at home because it's very comforting, and it smells especially good when the breeze comes through the window. Also for everyday use, I find it to be a classic, elegant and sophisticated fragrance. Its main notes are:
- Top notes: citron essence, sage essence and juniper berry essence
- Heart notes: myrrh essence, lavender essence and myrrh absolute
- Base notes: patchouli fraction, labdanum absolute and mastic absolute
Scandal Intense Jean Paul Gaultier
Another perfume that has conquered me, and I use a lot during the fall and winter, is without a doubt Scandal Intense by Jean Paul Gaultier. As it is the intense version, it shows that it has good power, a very consistent output. It belongs to the floral chypre family and from the first moment you feel an explosion of caramelized citrus fruits with clear floral accords, with orange blossom and honey being very present.
It is not a perfume to use in summer or spring, when it works best is in cold climates or when the day is cool. It is a fragrance that when I use it, does not leave anyone indifferent, it is sexy, uninhibited and with a lot of presence. Its trail is expansive as well as its projection, which is why I like to use this perfume in the afternoon and at night, in this answer it is a ten. And its durability is perfect, it seems to penetrate the skin and whatever is needed stays there. Its main notes are:
- Top notes: blood orange and mandarin
- Heart notes: honey, gardenia, orange blossom, jasmine and peach.
- Base notes: beeswax, caramel, patchouli and licorice
Oudgasm Chocolate Oud Kayali
Since I have known Kayali perfumes, there is more than one that has stolen my heart. The firm is committed to very original fragrances and Oudgams Chocolate Oudes is one of them. Now in autumn, this perfume once again takes center stage on my dressing table, because its notes could not be more perfect to enjoy at this time of year. Its olfactory family is oriental, it is sweet, warm, woody and powdery.
It is a very perfume gourmandsweet but without being sweet or cloying, but with presence. Something that is noticeable in its good trail and durability, one of those perfumes that continue to accompany you for hours. The caramelized apple, cinnamon and that special touch of rum stand out quite a bit. Without a doubt, it conveys a lot of sensuality to me with that powdery touch; and at the same time its warm and creamy touch comforts me. For this reason, I really enjoy it when I am quietly at home in front of the fireplace, but for a special date it is also one of my favorites. Its main notes are:
- Heart notes: rum, caramel, spices, caramel apple and yerba mate
- Heart notes: incense, orris root, cinnamon and jasmine
- Base notes: cocoa, oud wood, chocolate, sandalwood and cashmere wood
Good Girl Blush Carolina Herrera
When autumn approaches, the Good Girl Blush perfume once again takes center stage in my day. It is from the floral chypre olfactory family, and is much more sparkling and floral than the previous perfumes I have named. It stands out for being a very feminine, vibrant and playful fragrance.
I love it to go for a walk, go shopping or meet up with friends, precisely because it works wonderfully in quiet environments without giving up a special and elegant aroma. But at the same time, as it has a mischievous and sensual touch that smells of flowers, almonds and vanilla, it becomes a great option for going out to parties, I assure you that it has something very attractive. Its projection is moderate and more intimate, as is its duration. Your main notes:
