Sergio Ramos and Pilar Rubio met in Madrid, but neither of them was born or raised in the capital. Their relationship unites two very distant towns: from the journalist's Torrejón de Ardoz to the footballer's Camas in Seville there are 550 kilometers. And yet, fate made them meet.
The Torrejón de Ardoz where Pilar Rubio was born
Torrejón is a city on the outskirts of Madrid full of curious and special corners. Its old town preserves ancient buildings, such as the Casa Grande from the 15th century, the Parish of San Juan Evangelista from the 16th century with a work by Claudio Coello inside, or the Castle-Palace of Aldovea, built in the 11th century next to the Henares River.

However, the most emblematic place in Torrejón de Ardoz is the Europa Park, a green space with replicas of some of the most important monuments on the planet. It has an Eiffel Tower, a London Bridge, a Brandenburg Gate and much more. It's like taking the Interrail without leaving Madrid.
Sergio Ramos' 'Camas' is in Seville

Sergio Ramos' birthplace is, literally, Camas. Puns aside, the town where the defender was born is the land of Tartessos in the heart of the Silver Route. Many Tartessian treasures have been found there, such as that of Carambolo, putting Camas on the map as one of the great cities of the oldest civilization in Spain.

In addition to these ancient sites, in Camas we can discover stately homes from the 18th century, traditional hermitages and churches and squares decorated with tiles and flowers, where the Andalusian spirit is more than present.
Bollullos de la Mitación: the town where everything comes together

After a few years in Paris, the couple has returned to Spain and has chosen Bollullos de la Mitación, a town 30 kilometers from Seville, to settle. There, they have built the 'La Alegría' estate, where they had their wedding party and where they now live a quiet life among vines and olive groves.
