Aitana Ocaña is everywhere and the 'Superstar' has had a hectic summer. However, now that the end of the summer season is approaching, the singer takes the opportunity to escape to her favorite seaside refuge in all of Spain. This is Carbó cove, a small and little-known beach in the south of Ibiza that keeps all its natural charm intact.
What to see in Cala Carbó, Ibiza
Cala Carbó is an intimate and charming cove in the south of Ibiza, with a calm Mediterranean without waves and crystal-clear turquoise waters, perfect for snorkeling. To get to it you have to take a road full of curves until you reach this coast, shaped like a bay and surrounded by rock cliffs and pine forests, which protect this beautiful shore of golden sand from the wind.
This little corner escapes the frenzy of the Pitiusa island, especially in September when the influx of tourists decreases and you can enjoy the true calm and island spirit of the place. Cala Carbó has a couple of beach bars and traditional boat slips on the right rock wall, used to shelter boats.
As it is so far from the center of Ibiza and you need a car to get there, this beach is one of the most private and discreet in all of Ibiza. Its seabed is rocky, which is why it has become home to many fish and marine species. Therefore, diving goggles are essential to make the most of a relaxing getaway to this fishermen's refuge.
Where to eat cheap and delicious in Cala Carbó, Ibiza
Eating cheap in Ibiza is an impossible task. Even more so in such remote and hidden corners, where the few restaurants that exist can afford to choose their own prices. That said, in Cala Carbó there are two restaurants right on the beach with excellent paellas and seafood: Restaurant Balneari Cala Carbó and Can Vicent Per Pedro i Mari. Both are around 30 euros per person.
What to do near Cala Carbó, Ibiza
A 10-minute drive away is the Es Vedrà viewpoint, which can also be reached by walking along one of the paths between pine forests that separate both coves. Although the viewpoint itself is closed due to overcrowding, next to it is Cala d'Hort, a small beach with spectacular views at sunset with the iconic islets of Ibiza on the horizon.
