On the Alicante coast there is an old agricultural village from the 16th century, whose mills, fountains and washhouses still stand, witnesses of its traditional past. It is called L'Alfàs del Pi and today it is a tourist but quiet municipality, where visitors find disconnection, Mediterranean calm and good food facing the sea.
What to see in L'Alfàs del Pi, Alicante
L'Alfàs del Pi still preserves its urban center of a small authentic Mediterranean town, with narrow streets full of light, which are reflected from the white facades. The balconies are adorned with flowering geraniums and its traditional buildings reflect that quiet agricultural past.

Parish Church of Saint Joseph
Examples of this past are the 18th century parish church of San José or the Molí de Mànec, an old water mill that has been converted into an interpretation center, to be able to tell about the ancient traditions of the region. Another beautiful visit is the Bombarda Tower, a 16th century lookout fortress that overlooks the sea from above.

Walk of Stars
Very close to the town is the Roman villa of l'Albir, an archaeological site from more than fifteen hundred years ago with thermal baths, dining room, patio and wine cellar. Right next door is the beautiful Racó de L'Albir beach, an urban coast with all the services, restaurants and the famous Paseo de las Estrellas. And L'Alfàs del Pi celebrates an International Film Festival every July, becoming a little Hollywood with its Walk of Fame included.

Albir Lighthouse
Near the town there are many charming coves with turquoise water, surrounded by the Serra Gelada Natural Park. There are several hiking routes to enjoy the Mediterranean climate and landscapes. The most famous is the Albir Lighthouse route, an abandoned tower that can be climbed by taking a walk through pine forests, old ocher mines and cliffs facing the sea.
